It is not possible to save time, but it is possible to enhance time.

As we enter the last two months of the year, it is a good time to take stock of what is most important to you and consider ways to enhance the 24 hours of each day.

Know Your Priorities

Good time management serves what is most important to you. Reflect on your priorities for the year and consider if they have changed. Once you know what you want to do, then it is just a matter of carving out the time to do it.

Design Your Day

You are in charge of deciding how you spend your time. Designing your day is as easy as setting clear time intervals for the day and assigning them to a particular task or project. Start the process by mapping out time to eat, meditate, exercise and relax. Then, assign two to three hour blocks to a specific task or project. Try to assign the most mentally demanding activities to the time before lunch - as the mornings are the time of day when you are most likely to be fresh and alert. It is important to make sure that no matter what happens, you eat, move and take time to unwind. There are no shortage of personal planners to help you get started.

Automate Some Tasks

Some areas of life can be automated. For example, instead of cooking every day, it is possible to cook a large amount one or two days a week and stock up the freezer. Emails also dont need to be checked every minute or hour - once or twice a day is usually enough. Other tasks like laundry washing can be assigned to a specific day of the week. If you live with your partner, friends or family, make sure you invite everyone to get involved in sharing the load.

Create a Capsule or Minimalist Wardrobe

A minimalist wardrobe saves time each morning and is less expensive over time. Also, if you spend time planning out a minimalist wardrobe that is most comfortable for you - then you will always feel good. A minimalist wardrobe is really a journey and part of a different way of being in relation to your wardrobe and perhaps even other dimensions of your life. However, there are two things that you may notice immediately - your mornings will be less stressful, and your wardrobe full of only items you love.
